Our guides are general information
Our guides help you compare garage door openers. They are general information, not professional installation, electrical or safety advice.
Before you buy, check the door size, weight rating, mount style and return policy on the store's page.
Garage doors are heavy, and their springs and cables are under high tension. Follow the maker's manual for installation, and hire a qualified installer for springs, cables, door balancing or any wiring you aren't sure about.
Never disable or bypass an opener's safety sensors or auto-reverse feature.
